Happiness is a state of mind that many people strive for. But I think that we can all agree that it isn’t always easy. Many factors influence the level of joy in our lives and unfortunately, we can’t control them all. But don’t worry, happiness or just a quick smile can be found in many ways in life.

Dance in the kitchen
There is just something about dancing in the kitchen. We cannot explain it, but it is the best room in the house to throw some moves. If you are not used to doing this, it may feel a bit weird at first. But trust us: put on some groovy music, turn up the volume and move that ass.
Get yourself a glass of wine (or two) and pamper yourself. Take a long shower, paint your nails, try a new make-up look or put on some new lingerie. And then you may ask? Go back to tip one.
Change your perspective
We know, we know, easier said than done. But just for a minute think about all the things that you have accomplished in your life. These do not have to be life-size goals but see the beauty in the small steps you have taken as a person.
Give some stranger a (sincere) compliment
You are not the only one who is struggling sometimes. Complimenting someone is like giving someone a present. It makes people feel loved and let’s face it, for your own sake, it feels good when you put a smile on someone else’s face.
Call a friend
Do we need to say more? You may feel like you are down and want to be alone but connecting with your community makes you feel like you again. These are your friends; they know everything about you and love you for who you are. Just typing this sentence put a smile on our faces. So, pick up that phone because they are only one call away.
Side note: try to remember that it is okay to not always feel happy. Emotions come and go, so just try to make the best of it ;).
