Christmas is all about spending time together over a good meal. Do you happen to be on dessert duty? We've got the perfect recipe to indulge your sweet tooth. And this one will absolutely impress your guests as well. Get ready for (yet again) another pistachio recipe - our holiday tiramisu. It's to die for.
You’ll need
300ml double cream/unwhipped cream
250g mascarpone
2tbsp condensed milk
3tbsp pistachio cream (or more if you like)
1 pack of sponge fingers
50g chopped pistachios
For the coffee mixture
1 espresso shot
1tsp condensed milk
1tsp pistachio cream
Whisk together the cream, mascarpone, condensed milk and pistachio cream. Mix on medium speed until thick and fluffy. You can decide to add more pistachio cream for a more intense pistachio flavor.
Then mix together your espresso shot, condensed milk and pistachio cream. Dip in your sponge fingers. Important, do not soak! This will make the tiramisu soggy. The sponge fingers will soften while cooling so do not be worried.
Lay down your first layer of coffee dipped sponge fingers and add the cream mixture on top. Repeat this step once more.
Leave the tiramisu to cool in the refrigerator for at least 5 hours. After cooling, add your chopped pistachios and serve.
