Winter fashion hacks to embrace the cold

@matildadjerf

It feels like we've been in this cold for way too long already, but it doesn't seem like it's ending anytime soon. To help our fellow tribe members I collected my favourite winter tips to help you beat the cold and look fashionable at the same time.

1. Invest in a good winter coat

A good coat is fifty percent of the work, if you have a good coat made of the right materials it will keep you warm for years! Here is what you need to look out for. Pay close attention to the materials of your coat, for example: wool. It naturally regulates body temperature, keeping you warm in cold weather. This makes wool an ideal material for winter coats, making sure you feel cozy and comfortable and look fashionable all at the same time.

2. Uniqlo Heattech Thermal

Uniqlo has figured it all out! Thermal underwear and clothing made from a technology straight out of Japan. This fabric absorbs and retains body heat to keep you warm. It's made from ultra-hair thin fibers to make sure the warmth doesn't escape. What Uniqlo did with this line is not only bring out thermal underwear, but they created clothing with the same fabric! They created socks, scarfs, coats, pants all made from heattech fabric! It's perfect for layering your clothes and making sure you don't lose your warmth! The tops can also be worn with a good jeans or cargo pants, and you are ready to go!

3. Keep your 'hat' up ;)

It is essential to keep your head warm, especially in the cold! To make sure you keep your warmth you will have to wear a hat! Beanies are a must-have so here's what to look out for when looking for one. Wool, again! Wool is a great material; it keeps the heat but also makes it breathable. Not a big fan of wool? Maybe Fleece lined beanies are more your thing, they offer an extra layer of warmth, it's soft and lightweight! Beanies and hats come in every color and print you can imagine so they'll not only keep you warm but be the finishing touch to your outfit. Find my favourite below.

4. You will need some winter boots...

For some reason we still think it's fine to just wear sneakers in the cold, but to be honest: my feet are always freezing! Good shoes that are able to handle the cold, snow, and rain are a must-have but hard to find... Here is what to look out for when looking for winter boots. For long-lasting pleasure look for leather boots, in my opinion, leather boots look better by the year. Leather can provide insulation against cold temperatures, it's high quality and will last you for years if you treat it the right way. Make sure to combine the boots with some extra thick socks so you will never have freezing feet ever again!
